MizaRFVault – An Offline RF Data Vault Built by a Radio Enthusiast, for Radio Enthusiasts
As a long-time radio hobbyist, I’ve tried every logging and data solution under the sun, spreadsheets, cloud loggers, notebook entries, phone apps, and half-baked tools that really didn’t match how I monitor or analyse RF activity. Most had the same drawbacks: they required internet, were overcomplicated, weren’t designed for real world RF work, or stored data somewhere on someone else’s server.
So I built MizaRFVault.
What is MizaRFVault?
MizaRFVault is a local-only, offline RF logging and data management tool designed to cover everything from HF, VHF and UHF monitoring to general RF logging and analysis. It runs entirely on your device, saves all logs and metadata locally, and keeps everything in a single portable vault file that you control — no cloud servers, no external dependencies, no tracking.
- Completely offline
- No user accounts
- No cloud
- No telemetry
- Just your RF data, always under your control
Why Offline Matters
Radio monitoring and RF data collection often happens:
- In remote locations
- During power or network outages
- Where internet is unavailable or restrictive
- On portable setups or field operations
MizaRFVault works completely offline. You open your vault file, log your RF observations, and all changes are saved back into the same file automatically, reliably and without fuss.
Frequency-First Data Handling
One of the things I find most useful is how you can sort and review logs based on frequency activity — either by most recent activity or by ascending frequency — making it quick to track patterns, signals heard, or band usage across sessions.
Who Is It For?
MizaRFVault is ideal for:
- RF hobbyists
- Scanner listeners
- Amateur (HAM) radio operators
- Shortwave and VHF/UHF enthusiasts
- Aircraft, marine, or other monitoring fans
- Anyone who prefers simple, predictable tools over cloud-centric apps
It’s especially suited to people who value:
- Low footprint software
- Offline reliability
- Complete local control of their data
Still Evolving
MizaRFVault is a living project — planned enhancements and new features are in development, but the core philosophy stays the same:
Signal first. Software second.
Final Thoughts
RF data collection and logging should be enjoyable, not a chore. Your tool should support your hobby, not dominate it.
MizaRFVault exists because I wanted a tool that respected that idea, and now I use it every day.
If you’re a fellow RF fan who likes things simple, offline, and under your control, MizaRFVault might just be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
